Authenware™’s Statement on the White House Cybersecurity Review

MIAMI, FL - Biometric security leader, Authenware, made the following statement regarding President Obama's release of the 60-day cybersecurity review.

"America's online infrastructure is at a critical juncture.  Technology has surpassed online safety mechanisms; meanwhile, nearly every aspect of our lives - from national security to individual identities - depends on the security of the nation's networks.  Authenware applauds President Obama's decision to release a review of the government's critical networks, evaluating federal virtual communities and proposing plans to patch vulnerabilities.

"While the administration's review of online capabilities is a necessary step towards a safer cyberspace, we suggest that decision makers not only look at the public sector, but also into the labs of America's inventors to effectively protect our networks and citizens.  For instance, Authenware's software design team has dedicated hundreds of man-years to developing a next-generation technique that secures online access to data and applications by evaluating how an individual keys their username and password, thereby ensuring the typist is the authorized user.

"To capitalize on both public and private achievements, we hope the White House will continue to work in concert with innovation's marketplace.  Throughout history, the private sector has played a critical role in reaching new technological heights.  And in this next phase of the cyber arms race, industry innovators should again be invited to help drive developments," said Ron Brittian, CEO of Authenware Corporation.
